Storyboards are used to display the Mise En Scene of a scene and to also help the cameraman when he needs to shoot the particular shot. The storyboards show all of the elements of Mise En Scene- camera angle, setting/props, use of lighting/colour, facial expressions/body language, costume and positioning of the characters/objects within the frame. The creator of the storyboard may also have to include the length of the shot in particular if need be. The cameraman is able to refer to the storyboard of his assigned movie to help him replicate the provided picture as accurately as possible.
I created a storyboard for the opening credits sequence of 'Juno (2007)' which I will attempt to re-create with Becky Wood in due time.
